Tim Rose Tim has significant experience of running and advising SME businesses, as well as specific technical expertise in the liability management area.
After a successful career working in the City of London structuring and negotiating complex financial instruments, Tim moved into consultancy, primarily focusing on business advisory and turnaround management. He has developed a successful track record of working with businesses looking to implement growth strategies and also with underperforming companies needing to change and adapt in challenging situations. This has included the implementation of the Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) mechanism and working with companies to rebuild damaged relationships with lenders, trade suppliers, employees, customers and shareholders.
Tim has worked with a number of small and medium sized companies, with annual turnovers varying from £300k to in excess of £25m and has undertaken full business reviews covering profit generation and growth, cost control, cash flow management and strategic analysis. As a Chartered Director with an MBA in Finance, his academic credentials have given him a rigorous analytical approach to problem-solving. Tim is a Senior Industrial Advisor to the EBRD on their Turnaround Management program for the reform of SME’s and is also a Full Member of the Institute of Business Consultants (MIBC)

Jeremy Allen Jeremy brings over 20 years experience of analysing and advising companies from SME’s to Mid caps (£1bn+). He brings unparalleled expertise in the evaluation of smaller companies having been Head of Dresdner Kleinwort’s SmallCap Equity Research team, which was no.1 ranked in the City for an unprecedented five consecutive years. He then moved into a senior management role becoming Global Head of Equities Research at Dresdner Kleinwort and a member of their Equities Management Board.
Jeremy is particularly skilled in financial forecasting and company valuation. He has widespread experience in the preparation of business plans and company information memoranda. Jeremy has been involved in numerous business fund raising programs involving debt, equity and alternaive financial structures and has worked on a number of stock market IPOs.
Jeremy has worked with companies across a very broad range of sectors in the UK, Europe and North America. This has provided im with a strong understanding of a multitude of alternative commercial business models. He has knowledge of company acquisitions, disposals, mergers and business sales. He is particularly skilled in analysing and grasping the key drivers of businesses and setting strategy to maximise their profitability within agreed risk constraints.

Richard Magson
Richard brings over 12 years experience in providing finance to SME's across the UK. His in-depth knowledge of the Asset Backed Lending market coupled with his close relationships with all the majors lenders and the smaller independents makes him uniquely positioned in finding a funding solution to any SME looking for Asset Finance,Equity finance or Financial restructuring. Richard previously worked at Close Brothers,RBS Invoice finance and a number of Private Equity fund aswell as a Tooling company based in the Midlands.

Dave Bennett David has 30 years of experience working within the financial services sector from main stream banking, supporting private companies, through to running his own financial services company focusing on stakeholder pensions.
His experience of advising and mentoring business leaders across a number of sectors provides him with strong expertise in identifying strengths, weaknesses, and potential problems in corporate organisations. David works closely with existing management teams to develop practical solutions that improve business performance.
David brings a wealth of expertise in the area of refinancing and raising new finance for businesses of various sizes. His expertise in developing and presenting financial proposals to potential funders is highly valued by all those he has worked with.

John Lamond John has 20 years experience in advising SME’s as a business consultant and finance director. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Accountant Association and has an MBA from Manchester Business School. His consulting career began in the 90’s when he gained DTI accreditation to provide Business Planning and Financial and Management Information Systems Consultancy.
John used this experience to pioneer a number of consultancy initiatives with the London and surrounding TEC’s where he became one of the first external providers. He was responsible for delivering Business Reviews, Business Plans and Investors in People. Although he has advised SME’s in many industries he is particularly strong in both the residential and commercial property sector and with related professionals such as architects, surveyors and estate agents.
John has been involved in all aspects of business transactions including: investment appraisal, deal structuring (LLP, on/ offshore, JV’s), debt/equity financing, tax planning, credit assessment, acquisition and disposal, financial control, reporting to share-holders, funding institutions and strategic business planning. John has advised a number of leading international entrepreneurs and Middle Eastern investors and is a non executive director and consultant to a portfolio of high growth SMEs.

David Irwin David Irwin is a social entrepreneur and a consultant in enterprise and economic development working with clients such as DANIDA, Department for International Development, OECD, Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts, World Bank and Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.
He is non executive Chairman of Cobweb Information Ltd, a business which researches, publishes and markets business information. He is a trustee of Sunderland Youth Enterprise Trust. He is a member of the Investment Committee and a non-executive member of the Board of Oxfam’s Enterprise Development Programme.
From early 2000 until 2002 he was Chief Executive of the Small Business Service, an executive agency of the Department of Trade and Industry, with responsibility for managing all of the Government’s small business support programmes and a role as the “strong voice for small business at the heart of Government”. Before joining SBS, he co-founded Project North East (PNE), one of the UK’s leading enterprise and economic development agencies, and was its chief executive for 20 years.
David has an Honours Degree in Engineering Science and Management from Durham and then completed the Advanced Course in Production Methods and Management at Cambridge University. He completed his MBA in 1986. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Business Consultancy and a Fellow of the RSA.
